Thursday January 10th, 2008 Chelsea NY Michael Bell-Smit, Bouncing Lights Foreverat Foxy Productions This show looks really great in person. A bunch of big glittering video screens- like walking into your favorite screen saver, in a good way.
My next fave show of the night- although it is hard to choose just a couple, was Don Porcella "Are We There Yet" at Stux.
Also showing at STUX was Chinese Relativity. A small but interesting show in the back
Next a pricey looking show at the Marlborough space dedicated to boats and water equipment
Penis hole at John Connelly Presents. AA Bronson: School for Young Shamans. It was an interesting sexual fetish show. Very well put together and compelling with all the naked young men.
Back to 27th St and Schroder Romero Go to Schroder Romero and select from the ballot who you would make your top 10 enemies and allies of the world. Choose from people like Gavin Newsom, Winkleman, Larry Gogosian to more abstract selections like the L Train and the Lower East side. Friend or Foe: you decide.
Next is Tobias Buche and Jonas Lipps at Lehmann Maupin. Sweet little paintings.
