My hometown rag, the Minneapolis Star Tribune wrote up a review of the Draw Too show at Soo Visual Arts Center: "A Clever Exhibit at Soo Visual Art Center". They didn't review my work specifically, but eh, I'm ok with it. I didn't use glitter in my peices for a reason.
Up next, I'm going to throw a shout out to The Beholder, an online gallery that represents about 20 artists and has a marketplace where people can sell their stuff from an individual artist's page. Suzanne Shade in San Francisco runs the site as a virtual partner to live shows that she curates and organizes in SF and LA. The most recent show was a cool photography exhibit in LA appropriately called "California Dreamin.'"
Some of my fave aritsts on the site are the ones who don't look like they are design-machines, pumping out neat little paintings and drawings w/ cute animals, but no meat.
I like Jeremy Melton's paintings. They are dry, yet quirky interiors w/ psychological intensity. -------->

Mike Monteiro is probably the best selling artist on the entire site. In the vein of Richard Prince and John Baldesarri (I would guess he's more a fan of Baldessari), this guy's text paintings are abusive and funny. If you notice, all of his work is sold out.
