There was quite a turnout for the SFAI prof, Amy Ellingson. Her solo show at the Haines Gallery was a collection of technically challenging experiments with color and form. Using high tech tools and a strict process to develop her images, she essentially makes the same painting 3 or 4 times in a series, while switching the order of paint to produce results akin to Sol Lewitt or Frank Stella.
